Naya, a startup based in Groningen and established in 2022, is on a mission to pioneer innovative tech solutions that reshape the way we interact with our devices.
Their flagship product, Naya Create, is positioned to revolutionize input tools, unlocking creativity and boosting productivity to higher levels. Featuring an ingenious modular system, ergonomic lightweight design, and state-of-the-art functionalities, it represents a paradigm shift in input device technology. Specifically engineered to combat repetitive strain injuries prevalent among IT professionals and individuals with extensive computer usage.
Naya Create introduces a keyboard ecosystem tailored for digital professionals, seamlessly integrating four hot-swappable modules —Trackpad, Trackball, 3D Navigator, and Dial — into one compact system.
The success of Naya is evidenced by its €1.1 million funding secured through a highly successful Kickstarter campaign.
In February 2023, I joined the team as a Mechanical Engineer & Product Designer. Over the course of 2023 and 2024, I've been involved in two major projects: Naya Float and Travel Case, alongside contributing to other projects for Arc during this period.

Naya Float
Naya Float is a 3D mouse featuring patent-pending sensor fusion technology, offering a range of motion three times larger than current industry standards. With an integrated control dial, it enables quicker manipulation of 3D objects and spaces, providing a more intuitive and natural user experience. Fully programmable using Naya Flow, the software integrated into Naya Create, it allows effortless customization of inputs, making it the ultimate tool for professionals navigating 3D environments in CAD, Unreal Engine, and beyond. I've been involved in the CAD development of the mechanism enabling movement with six degrees of freedom: X, Y, Z, yaw, pitch, and roll. Additionally, we've conducted extensive testing with various 3D printing materials and techniques to align with our priorities and requirements. I've also conducted simulations utilizing Finite Element Analysis to obtain numerical values of displacement/rotation when force is applied. This process allowed us to fine-tune the model before 3D printing different prototype variations.

Travel Case
I've been involved in the CAD development of the Travel Case for Naya Create, designed to accommodate both halves of the keyboard, all 4 modules, and even includes a small storage space for USB cables and tools. Additionally, I've contributed to the Color Material Finish (CMF) decisions for this product.
During the Kickstarter campaign back in May 2023, I produced the renders of the Travel Case showcasing the final product's appearance, which were utilized in the campaign and across various social media platforms.

The Naya team has been showcasing Naya Create at some of the most significant annual tech events, including SXSW, Flush, CES, and soon, TNW.
CES, also known as the Consumer Electronics Show, is widely regarded as one of the most significant events in the consumer electronics and technology industries. It serves as a pivotal platform for companies to unveil their latest innovations, attracting extensive media coverage and attention from industry leaders, investors, and consumers. CES typically takes place annually in Las Vegas, Nevada.
CES has honored Naya two years in a row (2023-2024). In 2024, both Naya Tune and Naya Float were selected as CES 2024 Innovation Awards Honorees.
